what is education for?
teacher immersion

Monday, August 11th | 6 - 9 p.m.
Lakeside Community Association, 2 Lakeside Dr, Buena Park

Together we'll explore Mason's philosophy of education and formation of the soul. What does it mean that "children are born persons" and how does that that serves as a framework when teaching subjects and our riches subjects. We'll consider methods that best allow students to form relationships with living ideas inherent in great art, music and poetry. Gain insight and practical ways to lead our Common Subjects for our Riches community and in your home. Mason's approach to these subjects promises to be rich and fruitful - for our students and for us!

mother Culture event: Hadestown

tuesday, October 28 | 7:30 - 10 pm
Pantages Theater, Hollywood

Based on the myth, Orpheus and Eurydice, a classic Greek tragedy about love, loss, and the power of music. This powerful production of Hadestown is the tale of Orpheus and Eurydice set in an apocalyptic, Great Depression-era setting and told in the style of “The Devil Went Down to Georgia.” The music is a combination of jazz, blues, and folk Americana with tight harmony and soulful timbre. The plot is a retelling of the Greek myth. Orpheus, the greatest singer in the world, descends to the underworld to rescue his love from the clutches of Hades.
Tickets are $61.50 or $81.50. Reserve by August 20th.
